Kennett Pty Ltd has developed an industry leading "Green Star" construction Manual that extensively addresses how to build a Green Star building.
Created during Kennett Pty Ltd recent award-winning construction of the ForestrySA headquarters at Mount Gambier – Australia's first 5-Star regional building – the Green Star construction Manual acts as a checklist for the company and clients when undertaking environmentally sustainable projects.
It is one thing to be able to design a Green Star building but another to turn the architectural plans into reality. Kennett Pty Ltd skill, experience and ingenuity enable it to construct Green Star buildings that satisfy complex design criteria and achieve the desired rating from the original plans.
At Kennett Pty Ltd we practice what we preach. Our offices in Adelaide and Mount Gambier are always searching for ways to reduce our carbon footprint, including the use of solar power for water heating, recycled rainwater for toilet cisterns, air ventilation systems to minimise mechanical air-conditioning and the use of energy-efficient computing and administration systems.
"At Kennett, we believe that looking after the environment is about common sense, diligence and an awareness of the impact of our human activities on natural resources."
John Kennett, Managing Director
